Project Description: Geoconsult was engaged to undertake ground investigation works to identify the feasibility of various proposed directional drill route options and associated ground related risks for replacement of a leaking water main which supplies Te-Atatu. Fracing was of particular concern to the client and a robust investigation to confirm the target directional drill depth using a combination of machine drilled boreholes both on land and over water and CPT testing between drill hole locations was used for this emergency works project.
